and am back..............

expedition coorg(medikeri) left home at around 5:30am in the morning.

reached mysrore in no time...no bloody traffic jams nor any other .

breakfast in channapatna( 7:00 am) tiffany's, hopeless idli's along with khara bath and a coffee to ruin it all. that was a very short break. for about 20 min or so.back on track. spotted very few accidents. good sign thou, but this particular one is special , on mysore highway a red accent. seems pretty new to the road as well(lol) this guy tried to manage to get on to the median from no where...so the scene was pretty clean , a median in between the wheels. seems like every body in the car were pretty safe. well there were people trying to take pictures with their good old camera phones...and the best part was nobody is even bothered. well the journey was pretty special exciting. greenery greenery every where, the roads were pretty okay. passable i suppose.
as miles passed by there was a pleasant change in the temperature and the weather, its more calmer, greener and
less polluted. ghat section, so had to be a little cautious about the turns and the twists. awe stuck was not the word, even before i could set my self into the scene, we spotted A mighTY elePHant with its escort on his back....... awe!!!!!!! it set the pace of our journey and made it even more
exciting, and yah what could be more disastrous than my handicam. this thing has a tendency to stop functioning at
the right time, seems like this was my mother in law in my last life.... gr..... i just confronted my self saying lot more
to come...... then slowly started to see lot more people this time , well they were all workers to lay the road, so the
SIGN" go slow.. work in progress" was already in place and the drive was much slower and smoother, had my time
making videos, have noticed this real good thing i.e "NO plAStic" i mean almost every place was soiled or dirty coz o
the slopes, overgrown trees and the construction work which was in progress, other than that it was so plastic free.
been used to seeing plastic in almost every walk of like...i mean every walk. from helmets to sanitary pads , road
medians to junk jewellery. plastic made its mark every where , upto the outer space. man this is weird, but true we
have become slaves o technology and plastic, well cell phones, i pods, tape recorders and cd players, every thing
every thing is made of plastic. we live on plastic literally, so it was quite pleasing to see a plastic free piece o earth .
almost 3/4th of the waste we dispose from every house contains plastic .ie milk packets to razors , chocolate wrappers
to ear swabs.am getting too carried away. ground reality my friend. the smell o the soaked soil, greenery(coffee and
banana plantations) and the quite temperature, what more do i need, yah not to forget home made food. well am to
sceptical about the kind o food available there... medikeri a few miles away , could see the boards o different resorts
trying to sell themselves for a day or more. the roads were getting narrower by the mile and calmer by the altitude.reached coorg in no time and the town was quite simple, had to do a little James bond job to hit the main road, the
roads much narrower coz o a procession by school children on the occasion of kannada rajyotsava.almost some 600 to
800 children dressed in whites, few of them on the open top vehicles dressed as hindu mythological characters, lead by
by their school teachers. another 2 hours o journey to reach our destination , the journey was no less exciting.reached kokke ... this place was less original coz of the human intervention i suppose, but passable you see.. water all around, the room was pretty clean.headed straight into a close by restaurant suggested by the lodge incharge, and ordered for a plate o meal, the food
came in no time, it looked pretty clean but tasted bad.. had tough time trying to gulp in every bit of food. tried to finish
the food as soon as possible and got back to the room, rested for a while and headed to the shrine, around 6:30, and
the temple was dimly lit with oil lamps and a very few tube lights, to my greatest surprise........ the temple was built
on kerala style of architecture, very linear, straight lines and not may colours, the shine was neatly maintained and a
baby elephant at the rear end of the shrine, added to the charm . was out of the shrine is 45 min and headed to the
same please for dinner, well had no other choice. helped my self and ordered for a dosa, quite neat.headed back to the room... surfed through the channels for a while and then fell asleep. the journey back.this was quite exciting coz heading a little further and more excited about whats coming up next ,the roads were screwd, the journey got tougher , the ride no less exciting, reached dharmasthala.parked the car and visited the shrine , was out from there in no time, it was getting way too hot, again even this
shrine was built on kerala architecture. lunch in an unknown place can be a mess most of the time.. this was proved again, satisfied my self with 2 glasses of butter milk and bottle of water to neutralise my system.on the roads, this part o earth is flooded with rubber plantations , silver oak and a few jack fruit trees , in the uncultivated parts it was tall trees and over grown messy looking bamboo.4 hours away from bangalore. can see the greenery almost fading, in no time reached hassan, well this was a pretty
big town, this comes after belur (archaeological extravaganza) .found a 2 star hotel in hassan and literally barged in for
food, it seemed like i have not eaten from ages , this was a pretty long break, almost and hour, it was getting darker ,
the intention was to reach home before 10 to avoid excess traffic on highways.finally reached outskirts o bangalore by
9:30 . and all thanks to bengaloru traffic , reached home at 10:45.. this sucks but no regrets.the ride was tiring, but was no less exciting. reached home, belted on food, managed a shower and fell a sleep.back to work by 9:45 am, tried updating my blog, but had to finish up some drawings, had to leave it abruptly, and
finally i updated it today.that is at the week end.....
